Around 45,000 people die every year in the US because they lack the proper healthcare. A single payer system would save thousands of lives but we continue to argue over this because it would be “Unamerican”.
So instead of doing something that would actually benefit this country, we continue to spend trillions of dollars on our military to do what? Save lives? Apparently it is only worth spending money to “protect citizens” if it means the destruction of another group of people.
